Выбираем самовсасывающий насос

Choose a self-priming pump

💠 Modern models of self-priming pumps are able to pump the suction pipe, i.e. to take away air. When commissioning such a pump, it is enough to fill the pump scroll with water. A normally suction pump is not able to displace air from the suction pipe. Before each start-up, the normally suction pump and the suction pipe must be completely filled with water. ⠀

❇ Use a suction valve on the suction pipe to prevent dry running of the pump and the suction pipe. A suction valve with a filter also protects the pump and connected systems from coarse dirt (leaves, wood, stones). If a suction valve is not used, a check valve must be installed on the suction pipe or a check valve in front of the pump. ⠀

The horizontal part of the suction pipe should have a slope towards the source of water supply 1-2 degrees. ⠀

⚖ Next, to select a station, you need to calculate how much water will be consumed by consumers. You can focus on the following approximate figures of the water flow rate: ⠀

washbasin with faucet - 0.12 l / s; ⠀
toilet bowl with flushing cistern - 0.1 l / s; ⠀
shower cabin - 0.12 l / s; ⠀
watering tap - 0.3 l / s. ⠀

⚠ Important: the usual pressure in the water supply system of a country house is up to 3 atm. Irrigation system requires more pressure, up to 4 atm. ⠀

💧 Knowing the number of taps, you can calculate the flow rate. Moreover, if the water supply system at the base of the station is planned for irrigation, then the calculation should be done with a margin, given the length of the pipelines and the number of connections - fittings, turns and reducing the diameter of the pipeline provide additional resistance. This results in a loss of pressure. ⠀

💦 To calculate the head, you need to know the distance from the installation site of the pump to the furthest point of irrigation. For reference, you can assume that 10 meters horizontally = 1 m vertically, provided that you use a pipeline with a diameter of 1 inch. ⠀
